Photography in our family has a history dating back to the 1920's. My parents were involved in photography from an early age. In fact, one of Mum's first jobs was working for a photographer and she even did some modelling for him. (See my Blog page for additional photographs and information about our history).

Their love of and respect for, people, life and the world around them is the foundation for my interest in portraiture and nature photography. Since I was young I have also enjoyed surfing, and this interest has not only resulted in a love for surf photography, but it has also enhanced my appreciation for the diversity of our environment and for the people who enjoy life.

My tutor while studying for a Diploma at the Australian Institute of Professional Photography, the very experienced and highly regarded professional photographer George Seper, has been a very positive encouragement to me and influence on my photography. He has been in the industry since the 1970’s and has worked extensively in London, Paris and New York over the course of his long career. His enthusiasm and experience has been a huge source of energy for my photography.

Personal interaction with other leading professional photographers, such as Pam Farr of Not Your Normal Photography in the United States, has not only strengthened my desire for quality photography but has also reinforced my belief that to capture great photographs takes more than just technical skills.

Prior to my career in professional photography I enjoyed many years as an Architectural Designer. It was quite a responsibility advising clients and guiding them on a project that had such a significant impact on their lives. However, it was also very satisfying working together during the process from initial concept stage right through to completion of their home.

In many ways, capturing photographs (especially those of families) is similar. It is quite a responsibility to ensure that the images taken are of the highest quality and pleasing to each client. On the other hand it is enormously rewarding getting to know people during the process and receiving positive feedback regarding our products and services from satisfied customers.

We look forward to meeting you and working together with you to preserve a lasting record of you and your family for years to come.
